Tibetan Rejuvenation Retreat
With Dr. James Bae DACM, E-RYT, C-IAYT
September 7 - 10, 2023
Seasonal detoxification is a major facet of self-care and healing in traditional holistic medicine, including Sowa Rigpa, the Tibetan Science of Healing. Tibetan rejuvenation practices also include fasting, mind-body practices, and meditation, called Chulen, akin to “rasayana” methods in Ayurveda. In addition to dietary and herbal regimens, the Tibetan medicine tradition preserves spiritual methods of chulen (“taking the essence”), which includes special yogic and breath practices.
In this seasonal detoxification and rejuvenation retreat, you will learn the foundations of constitution or typology assessment and will adapt personal regimens of meditation, detoxification diet, and in some cases, herbal therapies to your individual needs. During this four-day self-healing and educational program, you will also be able to make use of Dewa Spa’s unique Tibetan therapies, including cold therapy/massage, oil massage as per constitutional typology, traditional herbal bath, and sauna/steam.
