Deep Simplicity: Two Cultural Pioneers Discuss Where Buddhism and Simplicity Parenting Meet and Flow Together

July 24 - July 24, 2020

Kim John Payne

Robert A.F. Thurman

Kim John Payne has a great message about simplifying lives that provides much-needed help to parents just as much as their children. Bob Thurman has by now reached the “grand-parenting” stage, and is eager to talk with Kim, mindful that he could have used many of Kim’s insights years ago, when his kids were smaller—and they will still be useful for the grand-kids, etc. Bob himself has had a lot of help in his life trying to improve dealing with partnering and parenting relationships, from long exposure to the Buddhist insights and Tibetan cultural habits that cultivate mindfulness and open-mindedness, kindness and curiosity, and is looking forward to sharing whatever might be of interest to busy parents. This is a unique chance to hear movement leaders Kim John Payne and Bob Thurman speak of their lives and what awoke them to the spiritual expressions of love, connection and balance lived out each day in humbling experience of family life.  This will be an spontaneous and unscripted conversation.  And of course, if you have ever heard Bob or Kim, it’s bound to be entertaining and full of fun.
