The Forest Therapy Institute's Forest Bathing Guide Training is the foundational training for those wishing to focus on the clinical applications of Forest Therapy for improving mental health in specific populations.  During this immersive Forest Bathing Guide Training you will learn to enhance your awareness of your relationship with nature to support healing, meaning and purpose.  The focus is on developing the core skills, knowledge and experience necessary to be a world class Forest Therapy Practitioner.   You will leave this training equipped with a specific framework to guide forest bathing walks and experiences, and a tool kit to integrate Forest Bathing and Forest Therapy wellness practices into the health care system.  The training is designed for those who wish to integrate Forest Bathing and Forest Therapy into an existing mental health practice, spa activity or in combination with other wellness practices such as yoga, mindfulness and coaching, among others.Forest Therapy Institute (FTI) provides trainings that are a combination of the latest cutting-edge research on forests and human health, international nature connection practices, science and ancient wisdom traditions. Treebath is a provider of outdoor forest therapy programs for children and adults, and the US Training Partner for FTI.FTI carefully selects applicants for its training programs who currently have or are building a mental health & wellness practice and/or work in the area of ecotourism or health tourism.  Spaces available for this training are very limited so please apply as quickly as possible.  Room and board ranges from $3,045 to $4060, depending on the accommodations choses at Menla.  (Tuition of $2,250 payable to FTI upon acceptance; Room and board payable to Menla from $795.00 to $1,810.00 once accepted)During this 6 Day Training, the topics covered, both during indoor sessions and outdoors, will include:
  • The Art of Guiding and Core Forest Bathing Techniques to guide your forest bathing walks/experiences.
  • The Science of Forest Bathing: the evidence-based practice.
  • Embodied presence and working with the senses.
  • The Forest Bathing framework 5x5-model.
  • Trail selection criteria.
  • Cultural considerations and enhancing your relationship with the land.
  • Naturalist knowledge on your area.
  • Enhancing personal awareness of your relationship with nature.
