Each GOOD MOVE retreat is a one-of-a-kind experience designed to bring you joy, healing, and mind-body rejuvenation through movement.  This summer join Jules Bakshi, founder of GOOD MOVE, and senior GOOD MOVE instructor, Shoshi Moyer, for four incredible days at Menla. Tend to your body, mind, and spirit and let yourself be enveloped by nature's embrace as you reconnect with your sense of play and with your body’s infinite wisdom. Through layers of movement exploration, creative play, meditation, and intentional time in nature, we’ll build confidence, self-trust, physical strength, emotional resilience, and most of all, we’ll have so much fun!Daily movement classes are a combination of dance, pilates, yoga, strength, and integrated somatic forms. Other activities include hiking, journaling, art-making practice, stargazing, and swimming in Menla’s beautiful pool.Each aspect of this retreat is meticulously crafted to spark up your mind-body connection, ignite your senses, and rejuvenate your spirit. No dance experience necessary! *Please note that while all activities are optional, we will generally spend at least 3-4 hours a day engaged in physical activity.

  • 9:30 - 11:30 am Meditation, Journaling, and Energizing Morning Movement (dance + cardio + pilates)
  • 12:30 - 1:30 pm Lunch
  • 1:30 - 4 pm Spa, Rest, Swim, Freetime
  • 4 - 5:30 pm Modern Dance + Creative Play
  • 6 - 7 pm Dinner
  • 8 pm Bonfire (weather permitting), Star Gaze
Saturday, July 20
  • 8 - 9 am Breakfast
  • 9:30 - 11:30 am Morning Hike
  • 12:30 - 1:30 pm Lunch
  • 1:30 - 4 pm Spa, Rest, Swim, Freetime
  • 4 - 5:30 pm Mellow afternoon movement (Pilates + Restorative Yoga)
  • 6 - 7 pm Dinner
Sunday, July 21
  • 7 - 11 am Check-out of Rooms
  • 8 - 9 am Breakfast
  • 9:30 - 11:35 am Closing circle + Final Movement Class
  • 12:30 - 1:30 pm Final lunch and Goodbyes
