Inquiry Embodied: A Woman’s Intimate Somatic and Inquiry Retreat

October 05 - October 10, 2023

Ariel Daunay

“All war, belongs on paper” ~ Byron KatieAll internal beliefs that lead us to struggle, to separate ourselves out, to judge and to hold one another in contempt, belong on paper. . . .Ariel Daunay is a Somatic Healer who leads both deeply felt and experiential somatic practices that allow each woman to silently come in contact with a profound and personal healing space in herself. She is also a guide into a slow, gentle and methodical Inquiry process (inspired by Byron Katie’s The Work). The Somatic PracticesThe led somatic practices will allow your body, emotional body and nervous system time to notice where you tend to close, shut down, not feel, numb out, rigidify, or “pretend” that you are ok inside. This is important information for you to understand and meet with your ability to be self-aware, as you are guided into areas of different body elements. On the other side of these practices, you will experience the Living Chi, the life force in flow, again. This will enable you to feel many hidden or inaccessible qualities to your Being that have been habitually closed off from within. And this will allow your body and hidden mind time to release, to heal, and to ground back into a solid sense of Self and foundation. The Inquiry WorkThe guided Inquiry work will provide you time to write out and focus on deeply ingrained beliefs that have caused your nervous system to shut down, to feel mistrust, to feel in conflict with, to make yourself hide, or to make yourself doubt who you love, where you work, how to live, and possibly doubt the deeper meaning of your life and life’s path. As you learn to unravel the story on paper and in partner work, you will learn to unravel where the inception of your pain, mistrust, doubt, anger, sadness or fears come from. From here you will guide yourself into a deep understanding of how things came to be in your life and experiences.Bringing both the Somatic practices and the thoughtful Inquiry Work will allow each participant to take a personal journey in a shared group setting. At times you will be in a guided practice alone on a mat, or partnered with another woman, small group or the larger group as whole. This will give you time to meet both Mind and Body, emotions and moods, reactions and beliefs, directly and in a state of contemplation and learning. As you work intimately with yourself and within the group setting, you will begin to learn how Mind exists throughout the body. . . and the body exists throughout Mind. You will learn that no one is the enemy, as both serve and work together. You will learn to awaken a more connected and profound relationship of understanding, forgiveness, listening, love, wisdom… and more.~ If you can look through beliefs that are seemingly opposite from one another ~ in a sincere and contemplative way ~ you will notice that understanding happens. This is the result of Inquiry, allowing yourself to deeply look into each believed belief, until you are naturally held in peace. ~
This is an experiential and personal journey that is designed to work within both Body and Mind. Bring loose comfortable layered, yoga-like clothes you can move in.
