Menla Online: Discover the Nature of Mind, Awaken the Bliss Body

May 23 - May 23, 2020

Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche

Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche shares the deep meaning of Tantrayana Buddhism and teaches meditations to enable us to experience the clear nature of mind, as well as the bliss body.
The yoga tantras show us ways to transform our gross mind into a more subtle mind. When we reach the purest state of mind, a pure energy spontaneously arises. We call this the Enjoyment or Bliss Body (Sambhogakaya).
While the mind naturally goes through this transformation when we go to sleep and at death, we are usually unconscious of it. We can also learn to experience the nature of mind in the waking state through meditation.
The mind is like the king of this conditional world. One approach to liberate this king is to go directly to the palace. This is the Dzogchen approach of looking at the mind directly. Another approach is to “travel the narrow mountain path where there is no turning back.” This is the method of bringing bliss into the mother channel.
In this workshop, Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche will teach about the “nine mixings”. This refers to the practice of combining a regular state of consciousness (waking, sleep, death) with one of the three enlightened bodies (NirmanakayaSambhogakayaDharmakaya). This totals “nine mixings,” including the yoga of inner fire.
This is the Tantrayana way of reaching the clear light state.
Participants receive not only deep teachings on the essence of Tantrayana, but specific meditations to practice to experience this subtle nature of mind and bliss nature of body.
