Nourishing Your Divine Self: The Heart of the Summer

June 30 - July 03, 2022

Jill Pettijohn

Learn how to reconnect with your heart. Walk into this new season with grace, strength and a sense of oneness with others. Raise your vibration. Learn how to stay centered and have a clear and focused mind to navigate your way through life’s challenges with greater ease and compassion. Now is the time to make that transition and leave those old stories behind. We all carry story, heartbreak, self-limiting beliefs, loss and fear, so this is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with Mother Nature and learn how to harness her power to renew your energy and vitality and feel whole again. On this healing journey under the gentle guidance of Jill and her guest teachers, you can participate fully in simple ceremonies in nature. Walking in the beautiful woods, being close with the artesian spring waters, attuned to the fire and the sound of the drum, the heartbeat of Mother Earth. Take this opportunity to transform, reconnect, rejuvenate and rebalance with delicious healing foods, yoga, movement, meditation, sound, hiking, and ceremony in a unique, safe and creative way. Jill's mission is to help people reconnect to their hearts by understanding their own bodies’ unique language and by recognizing their own emotional and physical needs, understanding that the importance of food, exercise, motivation can be pivotal in changing one’s life. Become that illuminated and radiant being again, and function at your optimum level with renewed vigor!Every day of this retreat will bring new experiences, and an opportunity to learn and grow together and self-transform in a safe and intimate setting. This is an invitation to nourish your heart and shine your light this summer. The Heart of the Summer is the first in a series of three retreats Jill is offering at Menla in 2022. The second will take place in September and the third in November. These can be taken individually or as a complete series.“I joined Jill Pettijohn's Nourishing Your Divine Self retreat in June without quite knowing what to expect. It's hard to put into words how much those three days affected me and stayed with me this entire summer. Jill created such a safe and open environment that allowed for some truly beautiful and honest connections with the other women in attendance. The Flower and Fire Ceremonies were among my favorite parts of the weekend. Something difficult was released and something unnameable was gained. The retreat was the best gift I could've given myself this year, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.”- Diane"Jill created an environment of healing that cleared the way for my divine self to emerge. She used seemingly simple rituals to show how to connect with our natural environments in a thoughtful way. Her wisdom and patience were much needed to remind me that slowing down is a necessary skill and not a luxury reserved for spa days. Thank you, Jill, for guiding me through a restorative experience that I will definitely be participating in again!"- Monica Verma“I met Jill Pettijohn the first time at Menla, a retreat nestled in a wooded area in upstate NY. I attended her 4 day workshop there. It was a healing workshop for women, and we came together under Jill’s shamanic wisdom, kindness and loving energy, and shared our stories. Jill guided us all with her caring and soft-spoken ways to feel renewed and energized, with movement, journal writing, sharing our voices and stories, a sound healing, and practices enabling introspection. It was thoughtful and had the desired effect. Sharing is caring. I look forward to attending another workshop with Jill in the near future.”- Bonnie E. Josephs
