PhDJ: An Immersion in Movement + Sound with Tasha Blank

November 04 - November 09, 2026

Tasha Blank

Most people think dance is about having the right moves. Forget that. Music is medicine—and this immersion is an invitation to experience what becomes possible when sound, rhythm, and movement are used as tools for transformation, grounding, and connection. This 4+ day in-person immersion is a core component of the 8-month PhDJ training program. Together, we gather to explore embodied sound, movement and expression—expanding our capacity to listen, feel, move, and heal while integrating the foundational principles of PhDJ.Guided by DJ Tasha Blank and the PhDJ teaching team, participants engage the body’s primal intelligence, spark creative fire and deepen their relationship to music as a somatic and spiritual practice. This immersion is a space to release old stories held in the body, restore trust in our innate wisdom, and integrate practices that support regulation and resilience. Alongside the movement, there will be plenty of time for rest, reflection, and integration within Menla’s sacred natural environment.Expect a sweat-filled, electrifying and exploratory experience—one that reconnects you to your most vital inner resources and offers tools that continue to nourish long after the music fades.*Participation is open exclusively to those enrolled in the PhDJ program.
