Summer Mountain Retreat Naked Mind: Dzogchen Meditation & Iyengar Yoga

August 14 - August 17, 2020

Carolyn Christie

John DiLeva Halpern

This August we invite you to the Catskill Mountains for a nurturing retreat experience that Carolyn and I feel will provide you tools to restore and establish balance, calm, perspective and creativity in what has continued to be a turbulent time for so many.We believe that Menla is the ideal place today for us to work in these subtle and penetrating ways, with our bodies and minds through yoga and meditation. The thoughts, sensations and emotions revealed through yoga and meditation can awaken us to the present and to aware, creative healing processes. Recognizing and embracing these processes can help us to untangle and clear knots in our bodies/minds. So, when the challenges of everyday life occur, we can integrate them in more fluid, balanced, invigorated ways. ~ JohnYoga is proving to be a tremendous support for yoga students and teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic physically separated us, but yoga united us as we continued to practice together on line. We have been able to turn to our deeper selves to find resilience, strength and peace in this time of uncertainty and turmoil. ~ CarolynWe feel that the retreat, respectful of social distancing*, will also provide a meaningful and empowering community experience. As we will be immersed in nature for the 4-Day weekend, participants are encouraged to avail themselves of Menla's natural forest surroundings in addition to our group sessions. All supported by Menla’s vibrant 300 acres of forest, streams, an exceptional organic garden, hiking trails, spa and outdoor pool, in a quiet natural Upstate New York setting.
