Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend Iyengar Yoga Retreat

November 29 - December 01, 2019

Carolyn Christie

Hugh Millard

Thanksgiving is a holiday when we recognize our dependence on each other. We learn from each other. We give to and receive from each other. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, along with practicing asana and pranayama together we will focus on:Maitri, Karuna, Mudita, Upeksa. = Love, Compassion, Joy and EquanimityBuddhist call these four yogas the “Four Immeasurables” because we can practice them with “immeasurable” sentient beings. Love is the wish for ourselves and others to be happy. Compassion is the wish for all to be free from suffering. Joy is rejoicing when virtue manifests in goodness. Equanimity is freedom from attachment to those who are close to us and dislike for those who are far.Come join Hugh and Carolyn at beautiful Menla Retreat Center in the Catskills for asana, pranayama, and meditation on Equanimity, Love, Compassion, and Joy.
