The Song of Your Soul: A Yoga & Mindfulness Retreat Centered on Recovery, Connection, Stillness, and Joy

September 10 - September 12, 2021

Stephen Earnhart

“The chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.” -Bertrand RussellThere will likely be times in our lives when our souls may be long ready for a new way of life. But the ties that bind us to our habitual, self-defeating behaviors can make moving forward feel impossible. Your vision for moving ahead may not always be clear-and that’s OK.When we remove ourselves from the distractions and tension of our busy lives, we can hear more clearly the voice of our inner wisdom which always knows the next right action. This yoga and meditation retreat offers you a chance to sit quietly in nature and amongst other seekers so you can reset, retune yourself, and listen to the song of your own soul. When we reach for drugs, alcohol, sex, technology, food, shopping, or any of the myriad ways to check out and numb out, these strategies keep us feeling fearful and stuck. Yoga and mindfulness practices have helped millions of us create healing connections between mind, body, and spirit, building an authentic connection back to our hearts.Immerse yourselves in hiking trails along waterfalls and gentle hills, a cool swimming pond, wooded meditation areas, or just lie down and stare at the clouds. Treat yourself to a massage or any of the holistic services available at Menla’s top-notch spa. Connect with our community around a bonfire.During this carefully crafted retreat, you will experience Kundalini Yoga, Yoga Nidra, meditation, and sound healing sessions inside and outside. Kundalini Yoga uses simple butpotent physical postures, breathing techniques and sound to strengthen the nervous system, creating a sense of balance and stillness. Yoga Nidra, practiced lying down, uses guided meditation to produce a profoundly deep state of rest. Sound healing will relax your nervous system and help integrate the “prana” (life force) that you generate. You will come away from this autumn weekend with valuable tools to help you:
  • Control stress
  • Regulate emotions
  • Learn strategies to deal with destructive behaviors
  • Reconnect body, mind and spirit
  • Build spiritual bridges with something “bigger than ourselves”
The workshop is appropriate for people of all levels. No previous yoga experience is necessary to experience the benefits. Surround yourself with like-minded people to remember that you’re not alone. This is a perfect opportunity to pause, rejuvenate, and listen to the song of your soul.
