Karen Charman is an energy healer who is passionate about helping people become their healthiest, happiest, and best selves, functioning at their highest level to achieve their mission in this life. As a practitioner of BioSET, The Emotion Code, The Body Code, EFT tapping, and Logosynthesis, she is trained to identify and clear various kinds of energetic blockages and dysfunction that contribute to a wide range of physical, emotional, and behavioral problems. As she works with her clients to peel away their layers of energetic stress, their bodies come back into balance and, essentially, heal themselves. This same principle applies to emotional issues and life goals.
Karen first encountered the world of energy healing as a patient in the mid-1990s when she developed multiple chemical sensitivity, widespread food allergies, fibromyalgia, leaky gut syndrome, chronic fatigue, and a whole host of other debilitating physical symptoms. After successfully healing those problems with BioSET, an energy modality focused on alleviating allergies and other chronic conditions, she became a BioSET practitioner and transitioned from a decades-long career as an award-winning investigative environmental reporter to energy healing.
Drawing on her background as a journalist, Karen is highly skilled at listening and asking questions to quickly zero in on underlying issues. She approaches her clients with deep empathy and sincere compassion for whatever issue they are dealing with.
Karen was privately trained in BioSET by Dr. Debra Singer in Albany, NY. She is a certified practitioner of The Emotion Code and The Body Code and is also a certified Clinical EFT practitioner through EFT Universe. She holds a Master’s in Journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and a BA in Communication Studies from UCLA. She is currently training as a master practitioner in Logosynthesis.
Karen is honored to offer Logosynthesis, Emotion Code, and Body Code at Menla.
“My favorite retreat center in the East coast. A real abode of the Dharma.”

“It’s such an amazing and spiritual location–I came back feeling rejuvenated and recharged… It was so very special knowing the place belongs to the Dalai Lama! I loved our room. My favorite things were that there was no TV in the room, the beds were so comfortable, and it was so quiet and relaxing there with the windows opened. The grounds were amazing…”
