As a former dancer, Laura has always been kinesthetic, but yoga is what made her finally feel at home in her human-ness. Passion for daily practice has been central to her development of self-understanding and whole-being health and wellness. A devoted Ashtangi since 2000, Laura is steeped in tradition from her extensive yogic studies both in India and the United States, and yet, a reverently rebellious yoga teacher. She is in continuous exploration of how to move through life with skill, grace, and the perfect amount of playfulness. Laura teaches both the Ashtanga method and Ashtanga-influenced vinyasa in workshops, classes, and private lessons in the Catskills, Hudson Valley, and New York City. She is a purveyor of deliciousness in the forms of movement, chanting, and healthily hedonistic indulgences for every palate and any dietary requirement. Her offerings are infused with exuberance and a deep love for sharing the joy of a delectable life with her fellow humans.
“The 90 minute KuNye with Ron was truly blissful. He immediately created a relaxing space and I left feeling cared for and reacquainted with my whole self. Not to be missed.”

“Homerun. One of the best retreats I’ve ever attended. Was an incredible treat especially to have so much access to Krishna Das, and I will never forget the Robert Thurman’s hysterical and insightful words. Incredibly inspiring and powerful weekend!”

“Menla means Medicine Buddha in Tibetan, but I think the esoteric translation must be ‘magic’. Menla is a place unto itself.”
