Meg is a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine and brings over 17 years’ experience as an
acupuncturist and herbalist. She holds a Master in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from AOMA,
The Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, TX. Meg is board certified by the National
Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in acupuncture,
Chinese herbal medicine, and bioscience.
For over 20 years, Meg has been a Qigong student of Grandmaster Nan Lu, Doctor of Oriental
Medicine and founder of Tao of Healing acupuncture clinic, and Traditional Chinese Medicine World
Foundation, both of New York, NY. Through this ancient energy practice she has cultivated a
sensitivity and intuition that is invaluable when understanding her client’s needs.
Meg understands that acupuncture is not a one-size-fits-all therapy and customizes each
treatment according to a person’s needs, allowing the client to be an active participant.
Acupuncture can address chronic pain, old injuries, and internal conditions. All treatments
address the root cause of mind, body, spirit disharmony, resulting in a calm and balanced body. As
a traditional Chinese medicine nutritionist and herbalist, Meg guides her clients in understanding
how food can be a powerful healing partner. She often includes cupping and gua sha to address
specific muscular needs.
Meg frequently ends her sessions by teaching simple, yet powerful Qigong movements to further
assist her clients’ healing outside the treatment room. Their Qigong practice then becomes
something they can include as part of their personal healing plan for the rest of their lives.
“Of all the places I have traveled for retreats, Menla is the BEST!
Sarah S.
“Please thank all the staff for the kindness and care of service to us. It was felt by ALL. It allowed us to provide a nourishing container to the women who came to our retreat, all of whom are doing some form of service work out in the world be it in the arts, in social justice, in climate change,in philanthropy, in healing trauma, and in caring for people’s physical and emotional well being. We all need time to replenish!”

“Menla is indeed magical, a place out of time that is rich in presence. The vibrational quality of this sanctuary is palpable as well as the magnificent natural beauty. Healing, peaceful and luminous with Light, a pilgrimage to Menla evokes the proverbial Medicine Mountain, and yet it is so close to NYC. Our Ayurvedic massage and experience at Dewa Spa was transporting, regenerative and deeply nourishing. Looking forward to our next retreat here and sharing this treasure with friends.”
