Early in her Massage Therapy career in Canada, she mentored alongside a team of dance chiropractors, working extensively with professional dancers and companies, yogis, athletes, and entertainment luminaries, specializing in treating misuse and overuse injuries, alignment issues, and the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries.
She still currently teaches Pilates and Yoga alongside ABT dancers and faculty at the Extreme Ballet Program at Kaatsbaan International Dance Center, in Tivoli since 2002.
Always seeking to support the body’s wisdom and healing, she loves to weave an intuitive flow and integrative approach, responding to each individual’s mind/body needs with a deep listening, compassionate touch and breadth of experience. Engaging this approach she seeks to create a meditative and profoundly relaxing session restoring the mind and body to its original wholeness and ease.
With an extensive background in Swedish, Neuromuscular and Deep Tissue techniques, Zen Shiatsu, Tibetan Ku Nye, Cupping and GuaSha Techniques, Thai Yoga and Ayurvedic massage treatments, Myofascial Release and Osteopathic Massage techniques such as Craniosacral, Strain Counter Strain, Muscle Energy, and PNF, she is informed by a wealth of technical knowledge and skills and seeks synthesis to prevent therapeutic myopia and achieve optimal results.
More recently, as a seeker and Buddhist practitioner, her search for healing techniques and solutions to the various stress disorders, autoimmune, chronic pain, degenerative and acute conditions she sees in so many clients, related to contemporary lifestyles and dietary imbalances, has brought her further into the study of the ancient healing wisdom of Tibetan medicine, Yoga, Ku Nye, and External therapies with Dr. Nida Chengtsang and Eric Rosenbush MSTCM, LAc.
These methods have complemented her ongoing study of Yoga, meditation and the unique and ancient Ayurvedic and Panchakarma bodywork therapies, dietary and lifestyle recommendations of her teachers, Vaidyas such as Dr. Vasant Lad BAMS, Dr. Jayarajan Kodikannath BAMS of Kerala Ayurveda USA and Hillary Garivaltis, former Dean of the Kripalu School of Ayurveda.
She feels ever grateful to be on this healing journey, especially to all her teachers, wisdom teachings, mentors and clients, and is honored and pleased to be working with the great staff, in the company of dedicated healers, offering her various skills and these ancient healing practices of Tibetan and Ayurvedic treatments at the Menla’s Dewa Spa.
“Sarite is not just a healer but a teacher-a very powerful combination for a true wellness practitioner. She even suggested movement exercises that I could do at home to help with an old injury-one I had not told her about, but that she “felt” as she worked on my body.” – V. Giordano
“Sarite has taken such excellent care of me, I wonder if I’ll ever be able to visit another massage therapist again without thinking wistfully of her. I am spoilt. Transcendental experience. Very grateful.” – A. Michelle Hogan
“Sarite was wonderful! I booked the 60 minute deep tissue and she hit all the spots I had mentioned were tight and got all the pressure points without the experience being painful. In addition, I didn’t feel rushed at all :)” – Dawn
“Came here for a yoga training for a week and loved my experience here. You are surrounded by nature and feel as if you are in another world.”
Erica A.
“I had the most amazing massage I’ve ever had in my life, and I’ve been to spas all around the world. Menla is blessed with truly remarkable practitioners.”

“I went to the Dr. Nida and Robert Thurman rejuvenating retreat. What a life changing experience. I feel so much better after just a week. The food is amazing, the spa is too good to be true. I love this hidden gem in the Catskills. I probably shouldn’t review this place—too many people might find out about it…”
